Murray Band played a full set for the Ella-Ray Lewis Fundraiser at the Crescent Legion, Branch 240. It was a great turn out and it was for a very good cause. A big thank you to all the people who came out to support this little girl, and also a big thank you needs to go to John Hovan for organizing the night and also to Craig Lewis for being such a good father to Ella-Ray. Murray Band opened up the night that was filled with lots of great entertainment including O'Hara Lane and Mary's Gunns.

We played some of our songs at the Ray McAuley Tribute at the Whalley Legion. Great to meet some of the good local people and some of the musicians from around this area. Thanks to Ed Molyski, Brian Larson and the rest of Midnight Eagle for having us, and thanks to John Cadeau for the invite and for playing Pedal Steel Guitar with us. Good times had by all!

Me and the Guys did 6 full days at Turtle Recording Studio in White Rock, BC.  It was the first time in the studio for most of us.  We recorded a lot of it live off the floor and we recorded with 2 inch Analog tape for that nice warm sound.  There were a few bumps in the road along the way, and a few things we had to learn, but all in all we had a great time.  We also made some great original music.  Adam Traynor was our pedal steel guitar player on the recording and he brings a very unique approach to the instrument which we feel is just the icing on the cake.

In mid November, we had 1 day to mix our recordings at Mushroom studios in Vancouver.  We have a little more mixing and mastering to do before we officially release the 12 song CD, titled Down this Road.  We expect to release the finished version by mid-2008.

We've been writing more and more new material and we're excited to start playing these songs for all you good people.  Look for us soon at a Bar near you.

Cheers
Trevor
